The heart-shaped jewelry box is made up of small pieces of mother-of-pearl (Pinctata maxima). The contrast between the light and yellow-gold Mother of Pearl is particularly attractive in this box.
Size of the heart-shaped shell box approx. 8 x 7 cm, height 3 cm.
The inside of the heart box is lined with black fabric so that neither the jewelry nor the box are scratched. The German name of the shell Pincata maxima is large pearl mussel; occasionally the term silver lip or silver-lipped pearl mussel is also used.
